Sometimes, questions arise as to why Just Eavestrough Guys locate or direct downspouts in a fashion that is not always clear to residents on why these downspouts are done in a specific way on their homes when it might look “better” on the house if it was done a different way.
The purpose is because Just Eavestrough Guys, by law, must follow Niagara Region’s protocol of the water disposal system. To err from that by-law can result in legal action taken against the homeowner or the business Just Eavestrough Guys by the City of Niagara Falls. An action Just Eavestrough Guys will not and does not want to draw upon ourselves or our clients.
By law No 83 25 states:
“2 No person shall construct or permit to be constructed or maintain or
permit to be maintained a rain water leader or downspout in the City of
Niagara Falls that discharges storm water
i below the ground
ii at a point less than 1 metre away from the foundation wall of a
building or other structure
iii upon any adjoining private property
unless approved in writing by the Director of Buildings and Inspections”
